Fufanu have succeeded where many others have failed with their modern re-imagining of classic post-punk. The innovative Icelandic outfit who began life as a techno duo by the name of Captain Fufanu, cite Ian Curtis and BAUHAUS as influences and have just shared their brilliant new single 'Gone For More'. Taken from their recently released sophomore record Sports, 'Gone For More' is driven by trashy hi-hats and a relentless thumping kick drum, striking the perfect balance between eerie post-punk and industrial dance music. Fad Gadget instantly springs to mind here, and whilst the trio wear their influences firmly on their sleeves, Fufanu's confident application of modern electronic techniques catapults them into a league of their own. -Holly Mullineaux
